There are several sources of track insurance, each of which can protect you -- economically -- in the event of a track mishap. As you might imagine, the premiums vary depending on the amount, deductible, number of events covered (there are some policies that can be purchased on an event-by-event basis). I read (but have not verified it) about one policy whose premium is calculated as 3% of the car's stated value with a deductible based on 10% of the stated value (minimum $2,500). This coverage is good for 10 DE events (not days) per year of coverage. Or were you asking a different question?
