Hey hey hey - too old to change the belts? Too awkward? Cheese & crackers man - you have the wrong Ferrari. Get a 288GTO or F40. They have a nifty little hatch behind the passenger seats. Take out the seats, open the hatch and you have more room to work there than if you had Marilyn Chambers on a birthing rack.
Just a thot.

Do you do your on service, no, then fine.
I have the equipment to pull an engine (and may someday have to) but I am to
old to have to do it evey 5 years ( I know Ferrari says 3) to change the
belts.
SJ says he enjoys his 348 and does PM. He is younger than me or has it done
or both. :-)

I would rather have a 348 over a 2 valve GTB/Si.

What I am saying is NO to a 348 period. Aside from the maintenance, there

the performance, even Luca di Monezemolo was not happy with his. So money
