Larry! Thanks! You rock! You just explained why I get all those speeding tickets! I must have nerve disease in my RIGHT foot, meaning I canât NOT push it down! Now all I need is a doctorâs note and Iâm off Scott free! J

You wrote <<not touching the brake pedal unless you need it.>>  Ha! That would never work for me.

Are you suggesting LF braking in racing situations, or all of the time?

But I guess we all tend to put things into our personal perspective.  Iâve seen people  go past me in the inside lane with brake lights ablaze â and have seen other  cars with brake light on calmly driving through town.

Personally, I would be unable to keep my foot over the brake pedal without pushing it â but thatâs because of the nerve disease I have.   If I had a dead pedal it might work â will have to try it.  I probably wonât convert but I will try it to see your POV.

Thx for the info -

Larry, those potential problems are easily solved by....not touching the brake pedal unless you need it.

The time saved by having to move your right foot over to the brake from the throttle is enormous.

Most drivers also do not use left foot braking due to the loss of physical stability. People will use their left foot on the dead pedal to physically position or stabilize their body under spirited driving. This is usually a result of a combination of a bad seat, inadequate harnesses and poor physical driver conditioning.

Hello Fellippe,

re: Left Foot Braking:

I never liked LF braking â to easy to apply the brakes slightly and either wear the pads quickly or cause lots of heat build-up to boil the Brake Fluid & damage things....   and itâs especially bad on the street where the driver behind never really knows f youâre braking or resting your foot on the brake....

Arenât brake lights becoming common in race cars?

Merry Christmas,

You know, all the complaining about paddle shifts got me thinking that at the very least the owners should learn how to left foot brake...

Anyone on here comfortable with it?
