OK Well It really takes no time to move your right foot a bit, what you are really doing is keeping the engine in the power band while slowing the car a bit, on my Spec Miata, this was a critical thing to do in a race, if you were in the power band of the motor (starting at 5500 rpm) through a turn you did a heck of a lot better than if you were not, so I'd recommend it for any car that can handle more than it can deliver power. Cars that have big fat power bands and tend to overpower their own tires, not nearly as effective a technique (like the Vette, left foot braking would buy me a few tenths on some corners where entry speed did not align with gearing, but other than that...). Never tried left foot braking on a flappy paddle car, drove a 355 F1, and it sucked compared to the 6M, SMG M3, GTI DSG and a Porsche with PDK, but never tried the left foot braking... All of those systems work but take a significant joy out of driving. Mike On 12/14/2010 2:40 PM, LS wrote:
