Hello
AUTOMOBILE magazine had an article on the Texas Mile time trials at Goliad, Texas. An ITALIA 458 only achieved about 173 MPH at the end of a standing mile.
Launch control was allegedly used fior the start. Why so far from the tested top speed claimed by the factory? High altitude wasn't a factor at Goliad in East Texas. The date wasn't quoted but high temperatures shouldn't have caused that big a drop? Does relative tall gearing require a longer roll out distance to achieve maximum speed?
         Ciao
