Thereâs still no evidence that the steering broke. Newey says he thinks the rear right had a puncture. Just another opinion.

Worth it Larry â just note that Prost grew up coming from karts and then up thru formula cars - - - rub wheels and youâll go flying. Senna grew up coming up thru karts too â rub wheels and send your adversary into the bushes. Tho he also drove smaller formula class cars Senna never gave up what he learned in karts and that, uh, kinda pissed olâ gentleman Prost off a bit.
Sennaâs habits didnât cost him his life â but he definitely was a hard charger and just may not have felt the gimpy steering until it broke. Also note that that weekend there were two accidents, Roland Ratzenberger and Sennaâs, and both drivers were NOT declared dead at the track â if that had happened â the track would have been shut down pending an investigation.
The poor guy that smacked the wall first, Ratzenberger, shoulda maybe set off an investigation in which case that may have stopped the race the following day and saved Sennaâs life. Instead â Ratzenberger âquestionably passedâ AFTER leaving the track thus NOT shutting down the track leaving it open for Senna to practice and race the following day.
Senna was visibly shaken after seeing Ratzenbergerâs collision with the wall which had to play a major numbing effect on Senna correctly ferreting out his squirrely car.

Hi Guys,
Tonight at 830PM- 1030PM ET, ESPN2 will air the movie about Senna. I have never seen the movie and was thinking about taping it - I've heard some less than flattering things about the movie and am wondering if it's something I'll want to record. I'm a fan of Senna's driving - especially his rain driving - so watching 2 hours of him being beaten up will not impress me.
Has anyone watched it? Is it worth seeing? (Sorry about the short notice)
Thx
LarryT
