OLD fuel hoses, loose clamps (especially on hard to get at right side return line) and MOST of all – lousy pre-flight check out.

 

Trust your nose folks.  If smells like gas – it most likely is.

 

Fuel pressures are minimal.

 

Don’t trust your eyes – by the time you get back there – the fuel has evaporated at the puddle site.
