Rick suggests "- So I like the idea that race control could bring all cars to a regulated speed. . ." Excellent suggestion Rick - the cars already HAVE a button for that - it's called PIT LANE. Of course the person risks creating a Jim Hall career ending wreck when he hit the rear of Lothar Motschenbacher's Lola at the exit of turn one at the last Stardust GP CanAm. Nov 1968. I looked for a picture of Hall flying upside down but couldn't find one. His car landed upside down and broke in half. Broke both of Hall's legs just below the knee I believe. DOUG
