Foggy glass clock: FINALE

Well the glass is damaged (foggy) beyond repair. It's some sort of plastic. I tried a few things and it barely looks better. Anyway, the important thing is, it still works. I hope so, if I damaged something, I'll only know next spring.

I just don't understand why this one is bad and ALL my other gauges still look great.

Thanks for trying to help!

Congrats Michael - but, um, is the lens poly(methyl methacrylate) or
non-crystalline amorphous solid? (ah ah ah - I looked it up - plastic or
glass).
Sounds like you're on the way.
Gopher it.

Finally got the chrome off. 25 minutes of struggle. The stem for the hands
is still in place. But I'll manage to clean the glass anyway because it's
hanging on the outside of the clock. Time for a break and a beer. Tomorrow,
glass cleaning day.
