Could it be that you are exceeding Einstein's Time Dilation theory?  Could
it be Enzo had in for you?  Or could it be the clock crystal is acrylic
plastic affected by UV light and the other gauge crystals are glass?

Go with the latter.  Besides - to drill a hole in glass for the clock time
stem setter would be really delicate AND time con$uming for indu$try if the
crystal were glass.  So your clock face is plastic.
