A vehicle is also ‘totaled’ if its stolen and not recovered.

Not really

Car could suffer a bad rear end or major engine issue

Tree on roof

Numerous other ways to total a car without air bag going off

Engine fire comes to mind

I can understand that the OEM Air Bag ECU may not available, but are you saying that there is no fix possible?

How is it that the entire automobile is totaled?

That doesn’t sound right to me, but I do believe that your knowledge of things Ferrari is accurate.

I’ve got a 2005   575M F1……. so naturally, you raise concerns.
