I am like mike
I watch it for the technology aspect
Mercedes just was able to get the secret sauces right with combined motor and electrical stuff right
You can’t take that from them and guys that’s where cars are going
Believe me it’s not Lewis Hamilton
This is just a phase in F-1 much like all the other ones the sport has gone thru.
The bigger issue is whether the fan base can withstand all of this.
Guys like myself who have been F-1 fans since the 60’s we aren’t going away.
As they gentlemen
This too shall pass

I’m only watching because of Ferrari. Imagine all those Williams fans, McLaren fans, Lotus fans, etc. At least if they don’t win, they are always second (Constructor Championship). I also watch it for the technology. When you read books like Adrian Newey’s How to build a car or John Barnard’s The Perfect Car, even if you learn 20 or 25 years later what they saw and the others didn’t, those guys are/were amazing.
Maybe in 20-25 years from now, we will learn what Mercedes did. It does not make racing more exciting unfortunately.

Damn....  like I wrote it myself!!

I'd only add that mini displacement turbo hybrid motors suck too.

You have to watch LeMans to see real racing anymore.

F1 sucks!
But I do ‘record’ and watch.  Never live like the old days (and nights).

DRS sucks!
Really. Fake passing numbers for the record books/whatever audience. Somehow Bottas held on as I thought the Englishman was surely going to take it.

Street circuits suck!
Except Monaco for nostalgia. Too narrow. No passing except unusually long straits/DRS.

Ferrari strategy doesn’t suck.
It doesn’t exist! Binotto’s been choking since Australia trying to decide what to do but then figures waiting is better. Dope!

McLaren soon to be Mercedes competition while Ferrari fights Renault.
