Again, probably different with the different manufacturers. I'd guess (and it's only a guess) Tubi keeps them basically separate on a 308. "Basically" meaning that it's common to have a balance tube on just about any V8 exhaust..

I thought the 2 inlets combined. My 308 strongly pulses pretty much equally both sides. I have felt others where 1 side is strong and the other feels like a fan blowing wind._________________________________________________________________Also have seen on startups condensation vapors on both sides and also only on 1 side. Just seems weird! On Mar 15, 2021, at 9:37 PM, Brian Keegan <bks281 [at] hotmail.com> wrote:The inlet pipes break through a central chamber. The exhaust pipes are also inside the chamber. Also inside this chamber is a screen/mesh and some insulation. The exhaust seems to take the path of least resistance._________________________________________________________________

Might make a difference with muffler brand. I had an aftermarket Ansa that had exhaust pulses on both sides at idle, but was much stronger on one side. Being curious, I plugged one side and it didn't seem cause any misfire. I suspect mine were kinda sorta separate, but with some internal connection.

Are the mufflers of a design that combines the 2 banks into 1 or do they exit each side separately. On US with 4 exhaust tips should you feel the same pulsations on both sides?
