Back in the old days, just one bad tank of gas could take down even the best turbo system.

Plenty of usage factors to keep in mind.

Isn’t it amazing how good a platform the 308 is for forced induction?

Building a normally aspirated hot rod is really low on the $/HP scale.

Abuse is a relative term, but I'll agree the transaxles will take a bit of punishment, the twill gears... not so much.

Transaxle is fine if you don’t abuse it.

No experience with the Koenig setups but the Norwood ones are aging well.

A modern single turbo would be a lighter and less complicated solution with minimal lag.
