You are going to have to tell me what "VFR always" means.  Does that mean that, even though he is instrument rated, he should only fly in conditions that don't require that rating?

My kid keeps going up with a friend in the friend's Cessna 150.  The guy is young and healthy and instrument rated.  I don't like it.  How concerned should I be?
