Or are you looking for someone to argue with? ;-) Dave Seems like on this list, arguing is the only way to get all the facts and an answer... <8-P Anyone claiming to know all the answers is an idiot. I only know half of what I need to know from prior experience. From "experience", I have learned to rely more on actual experience of others before me than marketing material. I will only pioneer when I need to. In regards to a high performance air filter, my personal experience is from 10 plus years ago. I was wondering has technology improved since then. I don't know anyone personally who has put the rev hard on a 7. The best filtration write up I had read came from Jim C while testing applications on an E36 M3 (If memory serves me). Since there seems to be quite a few people on this list that own 7's and actually modifies them, I thought I could get a respectable opinion. When I give my opinion, it's from hands on experience by me or someone who's opinion I respect. (surprising to me, I have had great conversations with many offlist in my search for info on F cars...) Next, someone tries to compare a 5 series to a 7. "the 5 is faster..." DUH?!?!? I chose to drive a 7 over a 5 for a reason and for those that really understand, I don't have to explain. If I wanted a performance car in the same price range I'd drive a Z06 or another American iron with four doors if I needed to haul people. I also already noted that my driving habits takes me to areas that tend to be dusty. One of my questions was is the media used in the Rev hard kit suitable? Would I be better using a different media? An air filter can be a great source of cheap HP or a real pain (remember the over oiling issues/contaminated sensors?) I will definitely do the exhaust this spring. I know the intake can provide additional HP but at what price was my question. I want to hear from someone that knows more than me. That just makes sense... When I have given an opinion on this list, it was from experience. Those who dare to meet me in person will find honest answers. That's all I'm looking for. I think it's late and I need a drink... R
