Pelosi & the Dems say, elect us and we'll clean up DC - after we fill our 
pockets and empty yours, the republicans say they'll clean up DC, after they 
fill their pockets and empty ours.  There appears little to distinguish 
either party anymore.  I had hope in '94 when the Republicans displayed the 
Contract with America  and proceeded to bring their agenda to a vote - some 
things passed while others didn;t.   Fine, they tried - all I ask.   Then, 
drunk with power (I guess)  they began  to spend like crazy - and to do 
things totally outside of the Constitution.  When the Constitution was 
written, only four crimes fell under federal jurisdiction: treason, piracy, 
counterfeiting and "Offenses against the Law of Nations".   Today, federal 
laws are so numerous you'd need a warehouse to contain them all - and 
several lifetimes to read them all much less understand them all.  And our 
435 congressmen & women spend most of their time getting re-elected and the 
remainder passing new laws.

When is enough, enough?  Will there ever be a time when we don't need a 
beltway full of lawyers passing law after law after law?

Maybe a law limiting lawmakers to Cessna 150s that they fly themselves?  Or 
maybe mandate they ride a Greyhound bus to get out amongst the people? 
Yeah, I prefer that.  Don't want to ruin the C150 market....
