Steve - Here is where I first read this: http://www.speedingticketdefense.com/pages/howmuchdoesitcost.html Look at the page below under legal reimbursement fees. I haven't been able to figure out exactly what they'll pay, it maybe only the first 100.00, but hey it is still something. This is all I could find on AAA's site, when I called my local office they knew nothing about it, but I'm about to find out more as I have a bill to submit :-) http://www.aaa.com/aaa/240/sne/membership/benefits/benefits-other.html Jeff -----Original Message----- From: Steve Jenkins [mailto:steve [at] stevejenkins.com] Sent: Friday, July 27, 2007 4:19 PM To: 'Jeff Greenfield' Cc: 'The FerrariList' Subject: RE: [Ferrari] Valentine 1 and radar Any documentation I can point to for AAA helping pay my ticker lawyer fees? Dang - that would be SWEEEEET! -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Greenfield [mailto:coyote [at] acme-ltd.com] Sent: Friday, July 27, 2007 12:14 PM To: Steve Jenkins Cc: 'The FerrariList' Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Valentine 1 and radar It is a little known fact, that if you hire an attorney to fight a ticket and win, AAA will pay some or all of the legal fees to defend the ticket assuming that you are a member in good standing, and the ticket is actually dismissed. I recently fought a speeding ticket (51 in a 35, don't ask) which I thought I didn't have a chance of winning. With the help of an attorney I got it dismissed. The one thing going in my favor, was although I had a long history (which the police officer had at the hearing) of speeding tickets my last ticket was close to 10 years ago. The fine ($160.00) was not the issue, it was the points that I was trying to avoid. Oh, and BTW ... I did have a problem with my V1 when it was just over 1 year old (just out of warranty). In my case it was not picking up signals from the front or back (forget which). Sent it back for repair and updating. I think it cost about 70.00 or so. No problems since, and yes it did go off when I got nailed. Be careful out there, it is open season on speeders :-) Jeff -----Original Message----- From: E M [mailto:pokiebaron [at] gmail.com] Sent: Thursday, July 26, 2007 11:32 PM To: Jeff Greenfield Cc: The FerrariList Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Valentine 1 and radar Wouldn't it be great if they offered to fight the tickets, rather than pay for them. Well, one can dream. :-) Ed 911SC On 26/07/07, Charles Perry <charles [at] carolina-sound.com> wrote: > > I'm sure the Sheriff was lying, having been in the same situation myself > several times.
