You only need a few parts per million of some substances to die. The percentage of poison to other mass in the body would be very very low...

Answer is: right around 0.036%.

That's right....less than four one hundredths of one percent.

Composition of the atmosphere (from the surface up to 25km)
Nitrogen:  78.08%
Oxygen:    20.95%
Argon:     00.93%
Carbon dioxide:  00.036%

My God, they cry.....CO2 has increased over 35% in the last 300 years!!! That means from 00.027% to 00.036%!!!! WOW!!!!

The news reports would make you think there was more CO2 than oxygen, when in 
fact it is a pretty minuscule component of our atmosphere.  And has been for a 
long, long time.
