You know, in all honesty I tend to be a bit more comfortable when I run
someone's tags during a traffic stop and it tells me that they've got a
CCW. That tells me that if the person driving the vehicle is a registered
owner, then a) they're not a felon and they've passed (at least a
rudimentary) background check, b) they're a (generally) law-abiding citizen
who has taken the time to do the right thing and take a class and register
for a CCW, and c) 99% of the time they're not some whackjob liberal out to
scream at me because I've got a gun on my hip.

Ric says it perfectly: Identify yourself as a CCW holder, keep both hands in
plain site, produce the CCW and DL when requested, and be polite. 99.9% of
the time you'll just get a warning (unless you were REALLY driving like an
idiot).

Just my $.02. The local county mountie wherever you are may vary.
