Yeah I had that 'virtual a/c' in my 328. The design is brilliant - you
hold your hand up to the grill and your fingers cool down, thereby
planting the hypnotic suggestion that the rest of your body is in a
cool interior cabin as well. It works quite well prior to the
inevitable onset of heat stroke.
