When I lived in France, I noticed that they didn't even badge the 914 as a Porsche. Yep - it's badged as a VW. :) SJ -----Original Message----- From: Dan Warlick [mailto:edwf430 [at] bellsouth.net] Sent: Wednesday, May 14, 2008 12:19 PM To: Steve Jenkins Cc: ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Ferrari California I am sure back in the days of production of both cars the performance levels were quite comparable. I have had both cars although the 914-6 was a (can I use a musclecar word here?) "clone". Both cars were real drivers cars in that there's nothing there. The dino did have power windows and so called A/C though. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephen Sherman" <sherman [at] wildblue.net> To: "Daniel" <edwf430 [at] bellsouth.net> Cc: <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 14, 2008 2:05 PM Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Ferrari California > Have you read Hemmings Sports & Exotics April 2008? > They compare the 914-6 to the Dino 246 GTS and even the Porshe owner would > like have the Dino. > > Stephen > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "LarryT" <l02turner [at] comcast.net> > To: "Stephen" <sherman [at] wildblue.net> > Cc: <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> > Sent: Wednesday, May 14, 2008 11:16 AM > Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Ferrari California > > >> It's well known then Enzo's primary interest was always racing and his >> road >> car program was there to pay the bills to keep the racing going.
