See if I understand this:
you want to burn dvd of shows you have record on Tivo/?
the unit has video out and right and left audio out
you could buy a MWR20V6 VHS to DVD recorder * I recommend this model since it will mak DVD from HBO, Showtime etc. All current models DO NOT. I als reccomend getting NOS
since refurb might be updated so they DO NOT RECORD thes shows. It will NOT copy copyprotected VHS to DVD.

Well, I don't know if it's Tivo, all I know is that it records shows and
it's not a tape or a disk. I don't see the name Tivo on it, but if it looks
like a duck and quacks like a duck and, well, you know.

cool...cox gave you a tivo?  they just gave us a low capacity generic
dvr.  search on tivo stuff and i'm sure you can suck the stuff off...
