Either you don't have a TiVo or else you haven't read your
instructions.

1) As someone else mentioned, you can burn directly from
your video out jacks on the recorder.
2) A Series 2 or newer TiVo will transfer shows from one machine
to another and also to a PC. And, no, it doesn't take 3 hours.
When on the PC, you can easily burn to DVD.
3) If you look around (perhaps weakees.com), you can find
TiVo machines with built in DVD burner.

Well, I don't know if it's Tivo, all I know is that it records shows and
it's not a tape or a disk. I don't see the name Tivo on it, but if it looks
like a duck and quacks like a duck and, well, you know.

Dear List,
We have Cox cable TV, Internet, and phone bundle. The last 2 days
my
DVR box died, although the one downstairs in the great room is okay.
Tech
came, installed new DVR box from Motorola so I can again watch cable,
Tivo
things, etc. Which leads to these questions.

I had shows recorded that I lost, as the old box went "bye- bye".
Is
there any way to hook up a burner to the DVR so I can transfer Tivoed
shows
to a disk? Also, is there a way to print a picture or a screen print?
For
example, I'll be watching, say, a bike race or Burn Notice, whatever,
and
pause the picture...is there any way I can print that? Would Geek Squad
or
any such entity be able to assist me in these matters? The Tech guy I
talked with at Cox who replaced the box said that right now the
technology
just isn't there now to transfer saved shows from one hard drive to the
other in less than around 3 hours, just not something they (Cox) can do
right now.

???
Thanks to all,
