Either you don't have a TiVo or else you haven't read your instructions. 1) As someone else mentioned, you can burn directly from your video out jacks on the recorder. 2) A Series 2 or newer TiVo will transfer shows from one machine to another and also to a PC. And, no, it doesn't take 3 hours. When on the PC, you can easily burn to DVD. 3) If you look around (perhaps weakees.com), you can find TiVo machines with built in DVD burner. Hans.
