These were fitted in Corvettes from 1997 on, and Camaros from somewhere around 1999. Someone makes a bunch of conversion kits (do a Google, I think you can find them) to stuff Corvette motors into just about anything, including your kitchen blender. They show the weight differentials. The most surprising (to me at least...) is the Nissan 240SX (rear drive variants). Apparently that 4 cyl was a real porker. Also, the old inline 6 in the 240/260/280Z was extemely heavy, and benefits big time in the handling department from a Corvette transplant. More power, less weight, and a rearward weight shift. You can stand in between the radiator and engine in a 240Z conversion. Most of these conversions include (or require) the later 6 speed from the Corvette donor. Hans.
