Since the Human Genome was mapped a while back (1 year?)  I haven't heard of 
many (any??) new
developments based on those discoveries.

Is that an accurate statement?  I seem to recall people saying there would 
be an explosion
of new products once the map was known?  But my memory may be off -   and 
perhaps new
products were developed and I missed them -
