Clyde is right.

How many Bosch Motronic systems, ABS, etc are in early E30 BMW's (1986-1990
vintage).

Answer - a lot.

How many have 'failed'.

Essentially, none.

The electronics in the Ferrari are made by the same people who make
them for everyone else - same quality - lasts essentially forever if you
don't do stupid things (like jump the car or weld on it).

Just marked up 8000% with the Ferrari Tax.

The only Motronic M1.1 that ever died in early BMW 325's was because they
left out a backcurrent suppression diode.  They fixed that mighty quick
with a harness bulletin/ECO.
