A men I had a 1987 M-6 with 288K on it and it never had a black failure
Same goes for my 308 with over 130K on it and those boxes were located in the
worst of places in the back where moisture hit the
I told the listers long ago to place silca packs in there to absorb the mositure
Now Ferrari puts the boxes in the psger compartment where they belong

Erik,

Clyde is right.

How many Bosch Motronic systems, ABS, etc are in early E30 BMW's (1986-1990
vintage).

Answer - a lot.

How many have 'failed'.

Essentially, none.

The electronics in the Ferrari are made by the same people who make
them for everyone else - same quality - lasts essentially forever if you
don't do stupid things (like jump the car or weld on it).

Just marked up 8000% with the Ferrari Tax.

The only Motronic M1.1 that ever died in early BMW 325's was because they
left out a backcurrent suppression diode. They fixed that mighty quick
with a harness bulletin/ECO.
