Clyde -

The black box won't fail.  The problem is a technicians skill.  They simply 
won't be able to diagnose a driveability problem - and then blame the black 
box$. Since about 2002 there is a very complicated computer system called 
CAN or CAN Protocols - even for the cheapest Chevy.

CAN Protocols include Controller Area Network (CAN), Local Interconnect 
Network (LIN) and others.

Porsche (bless their little VW souls, now) had a huge check engine light 
problem wiith the Boxster - turns out - - - seat belt latch ground. 
BUWAHAhahahahahahahahah  $$$ Opppps, sorry, it was just a loose bolt.
