A lot of watches will hold their value much better than a Ferrari, and won't break as often. So when it appreciates you can buy another Ferrari, that has been depreciating!

But I have to say anyone who wants to trade their sports car in for a watch (even if it were a Miata), is just not a car enthusiast. Sorry Erik. I never will understand the "more money than sense watches" any more than I get the whole Vertu business model. I see the appeal of a Ferrari, all of the ones I have driven have unique sounds and driving persona that makes you want to push it a bit harder everytime you get behind the wheel, and no question they look amazing just sitting still, but to exchange that experience for a piece of jewelry? Blasphemy I say!
