Taking pictures - Stephen - you gots the right
idea.
As far as Polaroid vs Digital they both have their
strengths.
The outstanding feature of a digital camera,
especially the little Lumix size cameras - is accessibility of places no man has
gone before - - - unless the engine is out or the dash board hasn't been put in
yet. If your hand can get back there - snap away - auto focus,
flash, viola ! perfect. Gives me views I have never seen before.
Wise idea to take pictures of the before I disassemble it.
MOST wise to ESPECIALLY do it with electrical
wiring. Some of that stuff is plugged in in a manner that is almost like
braiding hair - first this now this then this - otherwise it gets all puffy
(highly technical term) in the loom or behind the scenes.
I always (well always TRY is more like it) to draw
a picture of the bus or gauge back and draw where each colored wire goes - EVEN
IF ONLY THREE - man I can almost handle two - Bosch is pretty straight forward -
if its brown - earth or ground - if it has some red in it - a hot wire.
Yeah, cameras and plenty of pictures - (oh mannn - I shoulda take just two more
pictures of this at that angle - - - nuts) and a magnifying glass have saved my
project more than once.
