But it probaly take me 5 times as long to do it once as your 3 attempts. my hands don't do what my mind tells them, It 10 trys to thread a nut on to a bolt - if I could do simple things like that I might not be as carefull to get the whole assembly done right the first time.  :-)
I take pictures b4 and during the disassembly phase to guide me thru the reassembly - digital camera make cheaper to take all the angles but not as convient as the old polaroid - by that I mean haveing to clean up to print, the see a possible better angle to show more, then ...
Well you get the picture. I did mean to give the impression, I am perfect, far from it :-)

Hello Ed, et al.,

Thanks!   Its going back together now, at least the carpet bit.  I am still cutting
pieces from bulk carpet and waiting for edge binding for a few pieces but the ugly
work is done.  The new A/C parts are being manufactured and they will go in easily
as the requirement is for easy plug-n-play.  We will then have a KIT to upgrade any
308 to modern A/C without changing the appearance or making any irreversible
changes.  More on that as it evolves.

Here's a look at the new carpet, trial fitted to the rear bulkhead.

It matches the new upholstery quite well.

Nice to hear from you Ed, BTW!

Great pictures Rick!  You have been busy, but looks like your efforts have been well rewarded.  ;-)

Hello Friends,

I'm in the middle of a big project, and sadly haven't kept my

old friends updated.  Sorry about that.  Here's a couple of

pictures to give away part of the story.

If interested, go up a level to the ./hvac/* directory and have

a look at the rest of the picture.
