Those days are behind me. When it got to the point we were not recoverd from the preceding Iwe would lay off 1 weekend, then it got to the point even winning we had enough DNS's that we could not qualify for anything than club racing.

Then I found out my wife did not enjoy the racing and I did not enjoy day sailing.

Our son moved out, though I would see him crewing for the competion, we sailed my last race together and won.

Waxing a sailboat is a *huge* amount of work.   People sure don't need to be waxing parts that can get you killed! ;-^

Or wax the deck of your sail boat if you intend on walking on it, triming a sail during a race.

>>Ed notes "Stephen, you're good, getting it right, the first time!!  It usually takes me 3 attempts to get it right. lol"

Ah hah - me too - and the first time I learned the soft spots of mechanical enterprise was while working on my Schwinn's coaster brake system - AYIIeeeeeeee

Another braking system & more lessons learned - J.C. Higgins, 3 speed bike with pincher type rim brakes.  Do NOT go down a steep hill just after washing the bike.  Brake pads + soapy water + wet rims = AYIIIEEeeeeeee

I was a banged up but quick learner.  heh heh
