I haven't done this (thankfully) but have
heard of people putting tire treatment on their tire sidewalls and then
continuing onto the treads! Not a good idea -

too - and the first time I learned the soft spots of mechanical enterprise
was while working on my Schwinn's coaster brake system -
AYIIeeeeeeee
Another braking system & more lessons
learned - J.C. Higgins, 3 speed bike with pincher type rim
brakes. Do NOT go down a steep hill just after washing the bike.
Brake pads + soapy water + wet rims = AYIIIEEeeeeeee
