I agree. Limiting the displacement is one thing, but why the number of cylinders? This where advances in engine design were made. Don't see how everyone having 4 cyl engines helps the "Pinnacle of Technology" scenario?

Maybe we can just use old Formula Vee and call them F1? 4 cyl engines, sealed of course, fixed suspension design, - what's free for the designers? Hmm... the paint job, perhaps? They'll have a field day - probably develop some new technology - hitechnoemissionsfastdryingallcolorsparkleflashingsequinswithsponsor decalsincorporated paint jobs. Something we can all use. It'll be on the road Ferrari's before we know it....

I wonder what kind of gas mileage a Super V gets?

I think I'll concentrate on ALMS when those new rules come into effect.

First we lost the sweet sounds of the V-12's, then the V-10's, and now the
V-8's . Turbos will make the Turbo 4's sound like the poser Nissan 350 Z's
running around town with fart cans on the exhaust.

How depressing.

All I have to say is...

What

The

F*ck?

Jesus why don't they just grab some power trains from the Toyota Prius
assembly line and get the whole thing over with?
