That's when Chapman comes out with his two chassis Lotus.

I saw it at Long Beach GP.  Not too promising there but the concept scared 
the rest of breed and they all jumped on it.

In fact it was so notorious - I recall it made the PS part of Road & Track. 
How so?  The car, as I recall, was a turtle? and there were gaggles of 
squeaking protesters at tech weigh in.
