120k before a rebuild sounds early unless it was raced.

What about the pre '83 cam chain tensioner issues? 915 gearbox industrialism? Now, RMS and IMS?

Great cars, but not for their "engineering".

Any Porsche boxer engine is good for the first million miles.  Barely needs the smell of an oily rag.
