what is cool is iphone to iphone no charges anywhere!
Also sometimes I send live photos (small iphone animated shots) and the
non iphone guys get them, but they are not animated.

My Android phone works fine with no cell access.  I can place calls,

buying any sort of overseas service.  Irish pubs tend to have good

Yep, I'll reinforce Hans' input.  I can text with my daughter across OS
platforms.   But being an iPhone user, I prefer iPhone to iPhone with
iMessage because it's a) encrypted b)works where there is internet access
but no cell access... which is important in the mountains where I live.
Most folks have internet in their homes but about half have no cell access.

Not sure about the "data plan" issue, but my son (iPhone) and I

Just a generic, non-Ferrari-content question I have...

Can an iPhone user receive and read an MMS text message sent from an
Android
device?

Curious about this, I looked it up and I believe I read in one link that
if
an iPhone user doesn’t have a data plan, they can’t receive MMS messages.

Thanks,

Peter
