I do a decent job in the kitchen myself, I'm really really looking forward to finding new flavors and styles.

That's great that you spend time with your aunt, at this stage of life there's not much time left and the more good food the merrier :)

I am trying to shift to a "eat to live, not live to eat" mentality but, when in Italy, that shit goes OUT the window.  You don't get to eat that well very often in life.  I am fortunate that I have an aunt a couple hours away that grew up in Italy with my father.  She is as good as any famous chef.  We joke that she uses witchcraft when she cooks.  It is that good.  But she is in her 90s now and slowing down.  I try to visit as often as I can.  I tell her not to cook but she doesn't listen.

Other places that comes to mind were “Il Sorpasso” on Via Properzio which is within a short walk of the Vatican. Also “Borghiciana Pastificio Artigianale”.

Hi all,

I have the pleasure of exploring London and Rome with my 19yo son March 12 – 20, and threw a hail mary factory tour request.  We are attending the Manchester United game on the 15^th, do you have any suggestions for cool/offbeat things to experience in either the London/Manchester, Rome area?
