In Rome. I know it as “The  Ossuary’
A Capuchin Crypt under a 17th century church (below)
Bones and mummified remains of some 4,000 monks moved and displayed resting for eternity (or until the next move)
And the key word is ‘displayed’ tho I don’t want to spoil it and say anymore
It will imprint itself into a 19 year old mind forever. It did mine at 50
There are many wonderful Duomos and Piazzas and Churches all over Italy
Museums and ruins and yes, of course, fantastic food and wine

Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini
Via Vittorio Veneto, 27, 00187 Roma RM, Italy

Okay, seeing as the topic has gone sideways a bit, when you’re in the UK, there’s lots of car stuff to do and a place I really enjoyed visiting was the Beaulieu Motor Museum (first word pronounced “bee-you-lee”). An eclectic collection of cars.

When I went in 2001, I stopped at Superformance UK to pick up parts for my 308. That was back when Mike ran the place. Fun time... Was nice enough to write up a fake invoice with lower prices so I wouldn’t get nailed with duties/taxes if my suitcase got checked (and believe me, I stuffed it with loads of parts)! If you’re there, you might as well go and pick up what you need. Also visited Caterham Cars “factory” but I believe they’ve since closed that place... Silverstone and the old Brooklands (before it became Mercedes World) were also memorable stops.

Hi all,
I have the pleasure of exploring London and Rome with my 19yo son March 12 – 20, and threw a hail mary factory tour request.  We are attending the Manchester United game on the 15th, do you have any suggestions for cool/offbeat things to experience in either the London/Manchester, Rome area?

Thanks a million!
Mark
