With the pandemic, the rich got richer and the poor, poorer. Just like the financial crisis in 2008. I’ll always remember reading an interview with Luca De Montezemolo back in the late 80s during another crisis. The interviewer asked him if he was worried that Ferrari would sale less cars. He answered by saying “There will always be at least 4,000 people in the world rich enough to buy the entire production”. Well I guess he would say today, “There will always be at least 11,000 people rich enough to buy the entire production”. How about that guy 2 weeks ago who paid $16,000,000 for a Mickey Mantle baseball card and this guy this week who paid $10,000,000 for a Michael Jordan jersey.
