About 25mv AC measured at the battery. I looked at the wiring diagram,
but it is of the "block" style - not much detail.

Two thoughts:
1. Could also be one or more diodes failing. You might put an AC voltmeter on it to see if there is a significant AC component. 2. I don't have my TR wiring diagram here, but it is common to have more than one feed from the alternator. For example, you could have a direct connection to the battery and a secondary connection to the fuse/distribution panel. If those feeds have different feeds/fusible links, you could pop one while still having the other intact. This has happened to me before on my Corvette.
Good luck!

The alt idiot light is staying brightly lit on my '87 tr. The weird part is that voltages as measured at the battery appear normal (about 13.5v) under light or heavy load. I'm thinking failed regulator. Any thoughts??? _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/charles%40carolina- sound.com
