Headed to FoNE on Monday. When they did the major service last fall they recommended a rebuild/upgrade to the alt that included increasing its capacity and replacing the oem plastic fan with a metal one. (Btw, the original alt had been working fine). I believe they will stand behind their work.

The alt idiot light is staying brightly lit on my '87 tr. The weird part is that voltages as measured at the battery appear normal (about 13.5v) under light or heavy load. I'm thinking failed regulator. Any thoughts???
