I can't even comprehend what 2.1 Billion would be. Yeah, I know - 2thousand
one hundred millions, - the number is so large I guess it's guys like this
who are considered Super Rich?
Ric talked about the super wealthy being unaffected by the taxes put in place to take their money - I know congress passed legislation to prevent the super rich from leaving the US, renouncing their citizenship and taking their money to live in another country. - I bet the targeted Super RIch already have ways around these laws!
I would think in the current way things are done . it'd be really tough to keep dollars in the US -
Although most methods leave a paper trail - money transfers are very convienent but very traceable - unless there's a country that would not be bullied into giving it back - carrying cash would seem to be too difficult but with a fortune to spend and a fortune to hide, gathering millions/billions in cash would probably be more difficult than putting it on a private plane and flying away.
Maybe one day I'll have that problem - ;-) Sincerely, Larry T (74 911, 91 300D 2.5T) www.youroil.net Oil Analysis Kits & Porsche Posters/Weber parts .----- Original Message ----- From: <red5hilser [at] aol.com>

The last outfit that I toiled in Tucson?with for over a decade was The Gannett Corp. of USA fame. In the last year, it's stock has dropped 75% in value and the entire staff, down to even the??janitors have been cut 10%?to trim expenses. Tough times. As a show of solidarity with the front line troops, the Gannett President and CEO, Rick Debow has cut his own salary to $1 Million dollars from it's original $1.2 Million dollars, thus saving $200,000 dollars for the stockholders and retirees like me. Rick's gesture almost brought tears to the old jaded newspaperman's eyes when I heard of his sacrifice until I read, further down the news release that Rick's total compensation package would remain at $7.5 Million with his bonuses and other perks. So much for sacrifice! <g>Is this a great country or what?On the other hand, my previous boss at the L.A. Herald-Examiner was George Hearst, Jr. The last Forbes 400 listed him as being worth $2.1 Billion dollars. When I worked for him, believe me, he worked for every nickel. Although he was born into the Hearst dynasty, who stole their money in the the old fashioned American tradition. He was a great guy and he even worked right beside me once in composing room putting together the Sunday edition of the Her-Ex. Hell, after the paper was put to bed, we even shared a beer together and I even got invited up to 'The Ranch' in San Simeon with a few others.-----Original Message----- From: philville dejazzd.com? ?? the New School for Social Research ??
