Here in Europe the maintenance costs of a MB are less than VW, for instance, and much less than BMW. That's why you see so many MB taxis ... Just for the record, my 8 year old VW Passat with 180.000Km has been very reliable and I plan to keep it quite a few more years. I've seen a few 400.000 Km examples still running strong. When I do replace it I plan to buy a second hand MB ... I spend my money on fun cars, not on the everyday ones :-) Rui
