Massive build-up of mineral deposits and corrosion in my engine led to its
overheating issues - the corrosion and deposits impeded the coolant flow to the
heads and block.  It is possible that a PO filled the coolant system with pure
water and then parked the car for years.....allowing the water to do its damage.

Danger, danger Will Robinson!  Using pure water for coolant will lead to
cooling system corrosion.  The organic acids additive package in
antifreeze provide a degree of corrosion protection and water pump seal
lubrication.  If a car with a healthy engine and cooling system
overheats during normal operation then the radiator capacity and/or its
air flow needs to be increased. There a good ways to accomplish that
using custom bits, and they're cheap by Ferrari price standards.
