Just imagine if health care were nationalized and the customer service was similar to what you saw in the SS lobby? Talk about an exciting experience! ;-{

Rick:

You are SO spot on.

The people in the lobby had something in common with the employees behind
the glass: the government has removed both of their incentives to work their
hardest.

I remember leaving and saying "If I had employees that treated their
customers like that, my business would be failing."

Hmm.....

Just did this in Conroe, TX. My son lost his SS card and had to appear in
person for a replacement. I don't know which was more depressing, the
people in the line or the people behind the counter!

It's far from

Well I am sure if the Gov't had actually numbers on how many cheaters
there were they would most likely have their benefits terminated.
That's not the kind of info the cheaters willingly volunteer. But I'm
sure estimates are all over the net in Gov't reports.
Of course I
haven't seen you post any hard numbers supporting your points either
...
Most of my info comes from first hand experience. I know several
patients who come to see my father who collect multiple welfare checks
every month under different names at PO boxes, who have new Lincolns
and Cadillacs and can go dancing at local bars but are on disability.
Mothers collecting assistance for 4 or 5 kids they have given to their
parents to raise. And I am not referring to 2 or 3 people.
 It's a
rampant problem, and common knowledge to anyone with their eyes open.
As others have pointed out, do you REALLY believe 2/5 people in the US
are unable to work and deserving of public assistance?
